Claire Donahue, an aspiring young artist, has lived in Surrey for most of her life. She graduated from Kingston School of Art in 1999.

Claire's experience as an artist ranges from painting children's murals, book illustrations, and personalized cartoon story boards; to working for charities and creating greetings cards. Currently, she is the selected artist at the famous Nobu restaurant, in Park Lane, London. She also has paintings on display at various West London venues.

Claire draws inspiration for her art from a variety of sources. Human emotions and her love of sculpture and jewellery are key ingredients that help to make her paintings unique - this is reflected in her most recent work.

Claire uses a variety of materials, but favours acrylic as the primary medium, alongside oils. Her paintings are enriched with vibrant colours and textured patterns that are complimented by strategically placed gold leaf.

Claire's work represents her magnified view of unusual aspects in every-day scenes.

She says 'My objective is to create a painting which is both beautiful, like a piece of jewellery, and complimentary to all types of décor.'

Claire also reflects 'I paint from within. Each piece of canvas I paint exposes a part of my soul. I hope this comes over in my work and touches people on a spiritual level. I believe all creative expression should be shared.'
